A Nutcracker Tea Party at Encore Center

Join us for a yearly tradition! The Encore Studio dancers perform their unique story of The Nutcracker through ballet, tap, jazz, acro, and clogging! This production also includes narration to prompt the storyline for our youngest audience members. Happening at multiple times on December 12th, 13th, 19th, & 20th.

Doors open 30 min prior for charcuterie and tea service.
Groups purchasing tickets separately but wanting to sit together must email sarahlankford@encorecenter.net prior to arrival to be seated together
Tickets are non-refundable
If your dancer is a Mouse/Soldier/Sweets Dancer please purchase for the correct shows. The SoPi dancers of these characters perform Friday evening and Sat 10am. The Cameron dancers in these roles perform Sat at 2pm and 5pm

CHAPEL IN THE PINES

November 10th, 2025 Moore County Solid Waste will host its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pinecrest High School, locatedon Voit Gilmore Road in Southern Pines. In addition to the collection of household hazardous materials, paper shredding will beprovided by Keep Moore County Beautiful, and a medication drop-off will be offered by theMoore County Sheriff’s Office. Accepted items include common household hazardous waste such as gasoline, paint, lightbulbs, antifreeze, batteries, and similar materials. Residents are encouraged to arrive early,as crowds are typically heaviest before noon. Paper shredding will take place in theadjacent parking lot, with a limit of eight bags per vehicle.Please note that commercial waste and electronic waste will not be accepted at this event. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is sponsored by Keep Moore CountyBeautiful, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, NC Cooperative Extension, and municipalpartners Aberdeen, Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Whispering Pines.
