Thunder at the Rock fans you can see from the below pics from our last “Thunder at the Rock” we had a lot of fun. It’s all happening again on June 8/9 hosted by Cox Double Eagle Harley-Davidson of Pinehurst at Rockingham Dragway. The Southeast All Harley-Davidson Dealership Shootout will be one race every HD Dealership will want bragging rights for. $2,000 pot. Winner $1200, Runner Up $400, Semi’s $200. Come get this money.

Harley has the best motor ever produced for performance. We will be showcasing it June at Rockingham Dragway. You can’t win it unless you are in it! Boneyard Harley-Davidson of Winterville, with Jaybird Cullen, won it all and is the reigning All Harley-Davidson Dealership Shootout Southeast Champions. More to come on the Shootout. We will have Biker Games such as The Weenie Bite, Keg Roll, Slow Roll, and Pick’em Up and Put’em Down. Hosted by the World Famous RatHole’s game coordinators David Allen and Carl Wilson. We wanted the best and we got the best. $100 gift certificate from Steve’s Leathers for the winners. Steve’s Leathers is the host of these Bike Games and is one of the AHWS’s longtime vendors. Hold up my Harley fans we have the 3 of the best bands you can have at any Rally in this country. Throwdown Jones, Bad Romeo, and THEM will be playing from 6:00 til 1:00 on Saturday. Let your hair down and enjoy the many activities we will have. Rockingham Dragway and Lumbee Racing has hired the best Sound engineer available and the best Lighting engineer possible. Wait a minute…these bands won’t be playing on nothing but the best stage available for our fans. More to come. Rockingham Dragway will have 2 Beer Gardens set up and the full complement of mixed drinks as well. All of this on Saturday. Sunday we bring you the All Harley World Shootout with the best talent you can have on 2 wheels. We did it big at Farmington Dragway and we will continue on that path. We will have Frank Loney and his dream team of Metrics in the house vs my selected Team Captain for the Harleys. 10 Metrics vs 10 Harley’s. You have seen it on National TV Ken Koby “The Chopperman” with Fred Norton and his Full HD Dresser put them on the trailer. Let’s not get it twisted Frank and his team want revenge but can they whoop the Harley’s. America 🇺🇸 I will name the Harley Team Captain on Sunday. A lot of folks want this title but I have to select the best to go up against Frank and his team. Sunday we will see. Mega announcement coming up about another race. Got to hold off on that one but make your plans to be at North Carolina’s Own Rally. We will have a Party you can only dream about. Vendors I have limited spacing and it is half full now. Get with me if you plan on being a vendor. Set up will be near the stage for the band. RV Hook Ups limited as well. “Nunsense is habit-forming! This hilarious show is a fundraiser put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidentally poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God). Nunsense, the winner of four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Musical, was called “A hail of fun and frolic” by The New York Times. And now it’s bigger and better than ever… it would be a sin to pass up the opportunity to see it!”

Whispers Celebrates The ARTS

Whispers Celebrates the Arts. Please join us for a gallery-like experience as Whispering Pines and area artists share their creations with you. Stroll among the the artists’ displayed works as you enjoy conversations with the artists, heavy hors d’ouvres and beverages, and a cash bar. Live music will be provided by local musicians. Selected demonstrations will be offered. You may register in advance by returning your check for $25 payable to Whispers to Joan Terzigni, 160 Pine Ridge Drive, Whispering PInes by May 2. Tickets are $35 at the door. Scheduled artists will present works that include watercolors, acrylics, oils, pastels, leatherworks, quilting, brush calligraphy mosaic stained glass, mixed media, photography, decorative painting and more. Many of the works will be for sale. Whispers is the social and philanthropic group celebrating its 60th year of service to our community and organizations serving persons in need in Moore County. Building friendships, supporting our community and helping others.

Carthage Buggy Festival

The 2024 Buggy Festival in downtown Carthage is Saturday May 11th!

Started in 1989, the Carthage Buggy Festival is a celebration of the rich history of Carthage, North Carolina. The Buggy Festival is held each year to commemorate the famous Tyson and Jones Buggy Factory that, from the mid-1800’s to the 1920’s, produced the carriages that were essential to life in rural North Carolina.
