Authorities are investigating two Hoke County home shootings that occurred less than 12 hours apart near Red Springs. According to the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office, bullets struck two separate homes while multiple adults and children were inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident.
The first shooting happened Monday night on Edinburgh Road. Deputies said two adults and four juveniles were inside the residence when shots were fired into the home.
Less than 12 hours later, deputies responded to another shooting on North McPhatter Road. Authorities reported three adults and seven juveniles were inside that home when gunfire struck the residence.
Hoke County Home Shootings Raise Safety Concerns
The incidents have raised concerns throughout Hoke County and neighboring communities including Southern Pines, Aberdeen, and Raeford.
Investigators have not confirmed whether the shootings are connected. As of Thursday morning, no arrests had been announced.
While no one was injured, the fact that numerous children were inside both homes has heightened concern among residents.

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate both cases. Detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.
