Moore County voters will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking seats on the Moore County Board of Education at an upcoming public forum in Pinehurst.

The League of Women Voters of Moore County will host a Meet the Candidates forum on Sunday, February 15, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Pinehurst Village Hall.

Eight Candidates, Two Open Seats

Eight candidates are running for two at-large school board seats. The March 3 primary election will narrow the field to four candidates, who will then advance to the November general election.

During the forum, candidates will introduce themselves, discuss why they are running, and outline their top priorities for Moore County Schools. Voters will also have time to meet candidates and ask questions.

Voter Resources Available

The League will provide voter education resources through VOTE411.org, where residents can verify registration, view sample ballots, and learn about candidates in their own words.
