A Rockingham family is receiving much-needed community support thanks to the efforts of a local motorcycle club.

Playaz Elite Motorcycle Club hosted a benefit ride on Saturday, January 17, raising $2,342 to help cover medical expenses for 15-year-old Addie Moore, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

A Ride With a Purpose

The benefit ride began at Double Vision in Rockingham and traveled through Morven and Cheraw, South Carolina, before returning to Rockingham. Riders came together to show support for Addie and her family during a challenging medical journey.

According to Addie’s mother, Krista Jordan, her daughter initially complained of pain that led to multiple doctor visits. Further testing revealed a tumor on Addie’s spine, which required surgery. The tumor was later confirmed to be cancerous.

A Long Road to Recovery

Following surgery, Addie began radiation and chemotherapy treatments. After continued pain, doctors discovered and removed a second tumor.

“With everything going on, with having chemo and constantly staying in the hospital, it’s been really hard on her and us in the family,” Jordan said. “It’s going to be a long road with recovery.”

Playaz Elite M.C. President Brad “Light Skin” Quick emphasized the importance of community support, noting that “it takes a village” to help families through moments like this.

Community Support Makes a Difference

Club members say the strong turnout reflects how much the community cares. The funds raised will help ease the financial burden as Addie continues treatment and recovery.
