The program recently earned multiple honors at regional competitions, including awards for directing, ensemble performance, and music design. Students have even traveled to New York for national-level theater opportunities.

But this week’s performances offer something even more meaningful.

Inclusion and Community Impact

The Little Mermaid Jr. includes a collaboration between theater students and Exceptional Children students, creating a unique and heartwarming experience for everyone involved.

Teachers say the partnership has built friendships, boosted confidence, and created lasting memories for students.

Performances run throughout the weekend, with opportunities for families across Southern Pines, Aberdeen, and the Sandhills to attend.

Proceeds from the show will benefit both the theater and EC programs, reinforcing the community-first spirit behind the production.
