Our home is the beautiful and historic Village of Pinehurst, located in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Known as the home of American golf and the longleaf pine ecosystem, its temperate climate makes gardening a popular activity.

Inspiring Women Luncheon

LWVMC Inspiring Women, Inspiring Women Luncheon will be held at the Forest Creek Golf Club, 100 Forest Creek Drive, Pinehurst on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 11-1:30. The keynote address will be by Dr. Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins, who served two terms as the fifteenth president of the League of Women Voters of the United States. A buffet lunch will be served. Civic Scholarships will be presented as well as raffles. Additional information and tickets. cost $55.00, are available at www.LWVMC.org. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

What: On 1/29/2024, during the evening hours 5-7pm, volunteers will canvas Moore County to complete anonymous, voluntary surveys with people who are living without shelter. Resources will also be provided!

Why: This data can help shape services in our county and will be used to raise awareness about the needs of people without shelter

Moore Philharmonic Orchestra presents Sound of Symphony

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we close out our 20th season. This unique concert
will feature timeless classics including Beethoven’s powerful “Egmont Overture”, the
whimsical “Orpheus in the Underworld”, “Pictures at an Exhibition, Holst’s majestic
“Jupiter” and an exciting original composition by Director Eric Kopecky.
An exciting concert lineup, sure to be enjoyed!

The Moore Philharmonic Orchestra features a full symphonic ensemble of advanced
students and adult community members, highlighting its focus on community
involvement. Admission is donation-based; any amount is graciously appreciated.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to purchase tickets for the Annual Spring Raffle.
In addition to the spring raffle, we will also have a “painted violin” silent auction.
