First Health Hiring Event

First Health of the Carolinas will be holding in-person interviews to fill numerous positions for multiple departments. Interviewing will be held at the Clara McLean House, 20 First Village Drive, Pinehurst, NC 28374 on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Harlem Renaissance Summer Camp

Centered on literature, this week will dive into spoken word, jazz, and poetry writing, giving students a deeper connection to culture during the Harlem Renaissance and a voice to tell their stories.

Summer Campus

In this camp our actor/educators work with your students to develop their own original theatre pieces for an end-of-week performance. In this camp: students write, direct, costume and perform everything from scratch. It’s a truly immersive experience.

KiWANIS CLUB OF THE SANDHILLS


The Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills is conducting its 16th annual Blueberry Sale- now through May 23rd.

These delicious, locally grown berries, come in flats of (12) one-pint baskets, and its only $36 for the entire flat. All proceeds go to support the Kiwanis Club’s many scholarships and local children’s programs.

Sandhills Community College Jazz Band Concert

The SCC Jazz Band, the “Sound of Swing in the Sandhills”, will hold a concert on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. Please join us for “A Swingin’ Summer: Count Basie Meets the Beatles!”. The concert will feature Basie favorites including “Jumpin’ at the Woodside”, “Two O’clock Jump”, and “April in Paris”, several Beatles songs including “Lady Madonna”, “Come Together”, and “We Can Work It Out”, and other tunes you are sure to enjoy. It will be held at Sandhills Community College-Owens Auditorium, 395 Airport Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.

This is a free event, open to the public. Refreshments are available for purchase. Anything purchased at BPAC Concessions may be taken into the theatre. No outside food or drink is permitted.

Moore Philharmonic Orchestra presents Sound of Symphony

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we close out our 20th season. This unique concert
will feature timeless classics including Beethoven’s powerful “Egmont Overture”, the
whimsical “Orpheus in the Underworld”, “Pictures at an Exhibition, Holst’s majestic
“Jupiter” and an exciting original composition by Director Eric Kopecky.
An exciting concert lineup, sure to be enjoyed!

The Moore Philharmonic Orchestra features a full symphonic ensemble of advanced
students and adult community members, highlighting its focus on community
involvement. Admission is donation-based; any amount is graciously appreciated.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to purchase tickets for the Annual Spring Raffle.
In addition to the spring raffle, we will also have a “painted violin” silent auction.
