New Indoor Family Play Center Coming to Moore County

A new indoor family play center called The Treehouse is coming to Moore County, giving area parents another option for hot, cold or rainy days.

The indoor facility is expected to open this winter at a location along Highway 5. The precise address has not yet been publicly announced.

The owners have only said the property is located between the Aberdeen and Pinehurst areas.

Play Areas Planned for Different Ages

The Treehouse Moore County location will be designed primarily for children between 12 months and 13 years old, although older siblings will also be welcome.

Plans include a dedicated toddler area, climbing equipment, slides and an elevated central feature inspired by a traditional outdoor treehouse.

The owners said the layout will allow adults to see children from different areas of the building. The nature-inspired design is intended to create an active environment without some of the visual overstimulation found at other indoor attractions.

Birthday Parties and Classes Planned

The Treehouse Moore County facility is expected to include multiple birthday-party rooms. Group classes and other organized children’s activities are also being considered.

The business will operate as a drop-in play center rather than a child-care or drop-off facility. Parents and guardians will be expected to remain with their children.

A pumping and nursing room is planned near the women’s restroom. The owners also expect to offer vending machines with snacks and drinks.

Food trucks may visit the property, and families will be permitted to bring outside food, particularly when a child has an allergy or specific dietary preference.

Idea Developed by Three Local Mothers

The project was developed by three Moore County mothers who said they saw a need for a larger indoor family attraction in the growing community.

The search for a suitable property began in late 2024. Finding a building with enough room and sufficient ceiling height for the planned play structures was one of the biggest challenges.

The owners eventually secured a property with ample parking at the end of a cul-de-sac.

Construction updates, early-access information and membership announcements for The Treehouse Moore County are expected as the winter opening approaches.
