Southern Pines residents can get a closer look at the town’s new civic home during a public grand-opening celebration Thursday afternoon.
The drop-in open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 13, at the new Town Hall at 300 Southwest Broad Street.
Visitors can tour the building, meet town employees and learn more about the services now available under one roof. Family-friendly interactive activities are also planned throughout the event.
The new facility houses Administration, Business Services, Planning, Finance, Human Resources, Inspections and the Town Manager’s Office. Residents can pay utility bills, apply for permits, ask questions about development projects and receive assistance with other town services.
Town Council meetings have also moved to the new building’s ground-floor meeting chambers.
On-street parking is available along Broad Street and Massachusetts Avenue, with limited additional parking behind the building.
