Cardiac Canes deliver in historic comeback game

If you missed the Hurricanes, you missed one of the most dramatic finishes the NHL has seen in decades.

The Carolina Hurricanes stunned Utah 5–4, scoring three goals in the final 1:59 of regulation to complete an unbelievable comeback at home.

Trailing 4–2 late, Carolina struck on a power play, then tied the game just 32 seconds later. With the crowd on its feet, Jordan Staal buried the game‑winner with 29 seconds remaining, sealing a night that will live in franchise lore.

The Hurricanes are now one of just three teams in the last 30 years to rally from a two‑goal deficit in the final two minutes and win in regulation. The victory keeps Carolina on top of the Metro Division.
