Fans attending Richmond Senior High School athletic events will face new bag requirements during the 2026-27 school year, beginning with the first home football game on August 21.
The Richmond Senior clear bag policy is intended to improve safety and make entry more efficient for students, families, employees and visitors attending Raider sporting events.
Which Bags Will Be Allowed?
Under the new procedures, fans may bring approved clear bags, small clutches or wristlets, medically necessary bags and diaper bags accompanying an infant or toddler. All bags will be searched before anyone enters an athletic venue.
Blankets, seat cushions, cold-weather gear and signs supporting the Raiders will continue to be permitted. Signs must relate to the game. Bags and other items that do not meet school requirements will not be allowed inside.
Additional Rules for Raider Athletic Events
Spectators may not enter the field, track or playing surface before, during or after an event. Students who are suspended may not attend, and tobacco products, vaping devices, alcohol and illegal drugs remain prohibited on all Richmond County Schools property.
School officials say guests may also notice additional security measures developed in cooperation with local public-safety agencies.
Tickets will remain available at the gate or in advance through GoFan. The school uses North Carolina High School Athletic Association credentials for members of the media.
