Authorities have released additional information about the investigation into the deaths of three family members inside a Pinebluff home.
The Moore County Sheriff’s Office has charged 40-year-old Demetrius Aggelis with three counts of murder and one count of first-degree burglary. The charges follow the deaths of Bobby Farris, Christina Aggelis and 20-year-old Trinity Thomas.
Victims Discovered Inside Pinebluff Home
Deputies were called Wednesday morning to a home in the 100 block of Ryder Cup Boulevard. Investigators said the three victims appeared to have suffered gunshot and stab wounds.
Authorities said Aggelis called 911 after arriving at the house and initially claimed that he discovered the victims while attempting to pick up his stepfather for a flight.
Investigators Cite Video and Camera Evidence
According to investigators, privately obtained surveillance video showed an armed person entering the home early Wednesday morning. Deputies also said a nearby Flock license-plate camera recorded Aggelis’ vehicle leaving the area around the time of the attack.
The Sheriff’s Office said investigators found inconsistencies between Aggelis’ initial account and the evidence gathered during the investigation. Weapons and other evidence believed to be connected to the case were also recovered.
Aggelis is being held without bond and is expected to be formally arraigned next week. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Pinebluff Community Mourns Three Victims
The killings have shaken residents of the normally quiet Pinebluff community. Neighbors have remembered the victims as kind people and expressed disbelief that three members of the same family were killed inside their home.
The investigation remains active, and additional information may be released as the case moves through the court system.
