Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst has once again earned statewide recognition for the quality of care it provides to patients across the Sandhills region.

According to Business North Carolina, the hospital tied for sixth place in the publication’s annual Best Hospitals list for 2026.

Statewide Recognition for Pinehurst Hospital

The Moore Regional Hospital Best Hospitals ranking reflects strong performance across more than 25 healthcare metrics.

These measures include patient satisfaction, infection rates, readmissions, mortality rates, and other key indicators used to evaluate hospital quality.

The rankings also incorporate safety grades from Leapfrog, hospital performance data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and national ratings from U.S. News & World Report.

Strong Healthcare Presence in the Sandhills

Moore Regional Hospital operates as part of FirstHealth of the Carolinas, a nonprofit healthcare system serving Moore County and surrounding communities.

The hospital received a four-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and has been recognized as a Blue Distinction Center for specialty care in cardiac and bariatric services.
