Three Arrested After Moore County Drug Investigation

Three people face multiple charges following a Moore County drug investigation that led authorities to search homes in Southern Pines and Lakeview.

According to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields, sheriff’s office detectives executed the search warrants on July 28 with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Aberdeen Police Department.

Investigators reported seizing suspected cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, firearms and U.S. currency during the searches.

Three Defendants Scheduled for Court

He was also served with outstanding warrants alleging multiple cocaine trafficking and distribution offenses. Dowd received a $200,000 secured bond.

Lauren Platt, 26, of Southern Pines, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her secured bond was set at $7,500.
