Michael Jackson Biopic Breaks Box Office Records as New Allegations Surface

The new Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” is already making history at the box office.

The film brought in an impressive $97 million during its opening weekend, making it the biggest debut ever for a biographical film. That surpasses the previous record set by “Oppenheimer”, which opened with $82.4 million in 2023.

The strong performance highlights continued global interest in Michael Jackson’s music and legacy.

However, the film’s success is being met with renewed controversy.

A family that once publicly defended Jackson has now come forward with new abuse allegations. The Cascio family, who previously described themselves as close to Jackson, now claim that abuse occurred involving multiple children.

According to reports, there had been a past financial agreement between the family and the Jackson estate. That arrangement reportedly ended last year, prompting the family to file a lawsuit and go public with their claims.

The situation remains ongoing and continues to develop.
