Lee County Woman Charged in Fatal Overdose Investigation

A Lee County woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal overdose investigation that began in March.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office charged 42-year-old Jennifer Lynn Croper with death by distribution.

Croper initially appeared before a magistrate and was held in the Lee County Jail without bond. Her bond was later set at $350,000 secured.

Authorities have not publicly released additional information about the victim, the substance allegedly involved or the circumstances that led investigators to file the charge.

The case remains under investigation. Croper is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
