Approximately 20 homes sustained varying degrees of damage when a tornado moved through a Bunnlevel neighborhood Sunday, according to Harnett County Emergency Services.

County officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in the Williams Farm subdivision, located off U.S. 401 South near the Cumberland County line and Horseshoe Bend Road.

Damage Report Expanded

Initial reports confirmed damage to multiple homes but did not provide a complete estimate or information about possible injuries. The county’s updated assessment places the number of affected homes at approximately 20.

The extent of the damage varies by property and includes damaged roofs and fences. Residents should continue avoiding unstable structures, broken glass, exposed nails and any downed utility lines while cleanup continues.

No Injuries Reported

Despite the number of affected homes, Harnett County Emergency Services says no injuries were reported. Emergency crews and community members continued assessing damage following the storm.

Drivers should keep neighborhood streets clear for emergency vehicles, utility crews, contractors and insurance inspectors. Any fallen electrical line should be treated as energized and reported immediately.

Weather Service Survey Pending

The tornado’s Enhanced Fujita rating, estimated wind speed and final path had not been released with the county update. Those details should not be considered official until the National Weather Service completes its survey and publishes its findings.
