No injuries were reported after a Moore County Schools bus and a car collided Monday morning in the Pinewild community.
All 27 students remained aboard the bus while Pinehurst Police, Pinehurst firefighters and Moore County EMS responded and investigated.
Vehicles sustain minor damage
According to the initial report, the driver of the car said he was preparing to turn left onto Ashkirk Drive behind the bus when the bus began reversing to complete a wide turn. The vehicles collided and sustained minor damage.
Third school-bus collision reported within a week
The Sandhills Sentinel reports this is the third collision involving a Moore County school bus during the past week. Earlier crashes were reported Wednesday in West End and Friday near Carthage.
Authorities had not announced citations or released additional information about Monday’s collision as of the initial report.
