An Aberdeen domestic violence arrest has led to multiple criminal charges after police say a local man allegedly threatened family members, including an 8-year-old child.
Aberdeen Domestic Violence Arrest Follows Police Investigation
Aberdeen Police say officers responded just before midnight on June 23 to a home near the Glenn Laurel neighborhood for a domestic disturbance and threats of violence.
Investigators say family members provided threatening messages and a photo allegedly showing a weapon pointed toward the child.
The suspect was later located by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and transferred to Aberdeen investigators.
Charges Are Allegations
The suspect faces multiple charges, including felony malicious assault in secret, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, misdemeanor assault on a child under 12, misdemeanor child abuse, and communicating threats.
All charges are allegations, and the suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
