Marvel fans finally have their first detailed look at Spider-Man’s next chapter.
Sony Pictures recently released a brand-new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the latest installment in the Spider-Man franchise starring Tom Holland.
The film takes place four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which ended with Peter Parker making the ultimate sacrifice by erasing himself from everyone’s memories.
As the trailer reveals, Peter is now living a lonely existence. Without friends or loved ones who remember him, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting New York City as Spider-Man.
However, the emotional toll appears to be catching up with him.
One of the biggest reveals in the trailer is that MJ appears to have moved on and found a new romantic relationship. For Peter, it represents another painful reminder of what he lost.
The movie also introduces a mysterious new threat while teasing unusual physical changes affecting Peter himself.
Returning cast members include Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, and several new additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in theaters July 31 and is already generating significant excitement among Marvel fans eager to see what comes next for Peter Parker.
