The Good, The Bad & The Ugly: Chicago’s Scream Club, The Banana Chip Bandit & Warsaw’s Wild Boar Problem

Today’s edition of The Good, The Bad & The Ugly featured a unique way to relieve stress, a thief with a very specific snack preference, and a city struggling to control thousands of wild boars.

The Good: Chicago’s Scream Club

If you’ve ever wanted to scream after a stressful week, you’re not alone.

Chicago’s Scream Club has become a weekly gathering where people meet near the lake, set an intention, and release stress through one giant collective scream.

The free community event encourages participants to let go of anxiety, frustration, grief, or anything weighing on them. Organizers say the goal is to create a judgment-free environment where people can feel connected and emotionally lighter.

What started as a personal wellness ritual has grown into a unique community movement focused on mental health and stress relief.

Members gather at North Avenue Beach Pier in Chicago and simply show up ready to participate. No registration. No fees. Just a group of people taking a moment to let go of the pressures of everyday life.

It’s a reminder that sometimes the simplest solutions can be the most effective. And judging by the growing popularity of the group, plenty of people seem to agree.

The Bad: The Banana Chip Bandit

A Florida woman has been arrested after allegedly stealing approximately $300 worth of banana chips from multiple grocery stores.

Authorities say 59-year-old Annette Nichols repeatedly visited Publix locations over several weeks and developed a very specific pattern.

According to investigators, she would use self-checkout, scan one or two bags of banana chips, and then leave with several more without paying.

The thefts allegedly occurred at multiple stores, and managers became so familiar with the situation that one location reportedly began limiting how many bags were placed on shelves at a time.

When she was eventually caught, officers found 13 bags of banana chips inside her vehicle.

The biggest mystery remains unanswered: Why banana chips?

Whether she was stocking up for a snack emergency or operating some kind of underground banana chip empire, police say the chip spree has come to an end.

The Ugly: Warsaw’s Wild Boar Invasion

Officials in Warsaw, Poland are facing a challenge that sounds more like the plot of a movie than real life.

The city is dealing with more than 3,000 wild boars roaming through neighborhoods, parks, and city streets.

Reports from residents have increased dramatically over the past few years as encounters between people and the animals become more common.

Officials say there were 121 reported attacks involving people in 2025, while hundreds of boars were killed in vehicle collisions.

The unusual situation has produced several viral videos online, including footage showing a humanoid robot chasing wild boars through the streets and another clip showing the animals stealing sandwiches from a bicycle.

City leaders are now creating a special task force to help manage the growing population and reduce conflicts between humans and wildlife.

It’s not every day a city has to deal with thousands of wild boars, but Warsaw is discovering that urban wildlife can create some very real challenges.
