Aberdeen Drug Trafficking Arrest Leads to Multiple Felony Charges

An Aberdeen drug trafficking arrest is drawing attention across Moore County after local investigators completed a months-long narcotics investigation that resulted in multiple felony charges against a 33-year-old man.

According to the Aberdeen Police Department, investigators began looking into suspected narcotics activity earlier this year within the town of Aberdeen. Authorities identified Chaquwann Stubbs as a suspect during the investigation.

On May 7, the Aberdeen Special Response Team worked alongside the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Moore County Probation officials and Aberdeen investigators to execute a search warrant at a residence connected to the investigation.

Police say evidence gathered during the investigation led to several felony charges, including possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule I, Schedule II and Schedule VI controlled substances.

Authorities also said Stubbs had outstanding felony warrants at the time officers served the search warrant.
