Charlotte Man Arrested in Aberdeen Walmart Theft Case

A Charlotte man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he stole nearly $2,400 in electronics from the Aberdeen Walmart.

Aberdeen Police identified the suspect as Thomas Deon Haynes, 46, who was arrested in Mecklenburg County.

How the Theft Happened

Police say Haynes used a torch lighter to destroy anti-shoplifting devices and remove several electronic sound bars from their packaging before leaving the store without paying.

Video surveillance and Walmart Asset Protection helped investigators identify the suspect, leading to his arrest by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
