An education event in Moore County is being recognized nationally for helping families explore learning options for their children.

The Moore County School Choice Expo has been named an “All-Star” participant by National School Choice Week, a national celebration highlighting K-12 education options across the country.

The fifth annual expo takes place Saturday, January 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dempsey Student Center at Sandhills Community College. More than 25 public, private, charter, Christian, online, and home-education organizations will be on site to meet with families and share information.

Moore County is one of fewer than five percent of communities nationwide to receive the All-Star designation, recognizing its commitment to providing families with a full range of education choices.
