Arrest Made After Break-In at Dormie Club Golf Course

Authorities in Moore County have successfully apprehended a suspect involved in a break-in and theft at the Dormie Club Golf Course in West End. On November 23, multiple pieces of equipment were stolen from a secured maintenance area, but deputies quickly followed leads to recover all stolen items from a nearby property. Jacob Liam Armstrong, 27, of Southern Pines, was arrested and faces multiple serious charges, including felony breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. He remains in custody with no bond. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office.
