On Thursday, September 21 at 7:00 pm at the Bradshaw Performing Arts Center on the Sandhills Community College campus the Ruth Pauley Lecture series will feature best-selling and award winning author, acclaimed NY Times op-ed columnist, and Duke University professor of Journalism – Frank Bruni, whose lecture Discourse & Politics In Contemporary America will give a snapshot of modern journalism combining the work he is doing on his new book on how grievance dominates America’s cultural and political discourse with the difficult commentary path today’s journalists must navigate in an extremely divided world focusing on the roles of both the media and every day citizens. All Ruth Pauley Lectures are free and open to the public. For more information, visit ruthpauley.org and be sure to check out the Facebook page.
